"Lisa Bergren has stirred up an exciting and memorable tale that teen readers should thoroughly enjoy!" ~ Melody Carlson, author of the Diary of a Teenage Girl and True Colors Series.
"Lisa Tawn Bergren's new YA series, River of Time, is romantic, historical fiction in which the plucky heroine doesn't have to fear a vampire's bite but must still fight for her life.

In Waterfall, American teenager Gabi Betarrini accidently finds herself in Fourteenth-Century Italy . . . Knights. Swords. Horses. Armor. And Italian hotties. Most American teens want an Italian vacation, but the Betarrini sisters have spent every summer of their lives there with their archaeologist parents. Stuck on yet another hot, dusty dig, they are bored out of their minds... until they place their hands atop handprints in an ancient tomb and find themselves catapulted into the Fourteenth Century and in the middle of a fierce battle between knights bent on killing one another." ~
Goodreads Review

What would you readers do, if your knight in shining armor, literally lives in a whole different world?

Most American teenagers want a vacation in Italy, but the Betarrini sisters have spent every summer of their lives among the romantic hills with their archaeologist parents. Stick among the rubble of the medival castles in rural Tuscany on yet another hot, dusty archaeological site, Gabi and Lia are bored out of their minds ... until Gabi places her hand atop a handprint she found in an ancient tomb and finds herself in the fourteenth century Italy. But that was only when Lia decided to put her hand in the second pair of handprints. And worse yet, Gabi finds herself in the middle of a fierce battle between knights of two opposite forces.

Suddenly Gabi's summer in Italy is much, much more interesting..

Gabi is then noticed and she fears for her life. But turns out she was found by the good side. The only question is..is where is Lia? She had noticed she was no longer by her side after she found her way to the fourteenth century. Was Lia alright? Or did she loose her sister forever?

In this 367 page thriller you fins yourself bounding through the 28 chapters in one whole day! Life with the Betarrini's gets more and more mysterious and captivating in this romantic historical thriller, taking you inside the Fourteenth century more than you could ever imagine.

This book filled my life with happiness, glee and love. This is a clean Christian based book and strongly recommended for ages 13+ (just because when your older it's easier to understand what's going on).
